Brunei sets ceiling prices for whole chicken, eggs as Islamic festival season approaches


BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, March 27 (Xinhua): The Brunei government has set maximum short-term prices on whole chicken and chicken eggs for 10 weeks, effective from April 1 to June 11, 2021.

According to Brunei's Department of Economic Planning and Statistics (DEPS) at the Ministry of Finance and Economy on Saturday, in collaboration with the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism through the Department of Agriculture and Agrifood, DEPS has set the capped prices to mitigate increasing food prices.
