In order to continue fighting against the spread of COVID-19 and boosting the economic reactivation in Peru, the
has extended the state of national emergency for 31 more days —starting December 1— and
Likewise, the regulation authorizes the reopening of temples and places of worship to welcome members, the faithful, and the general public —with a capacity no greater than a third of their initial one.
Additionally, it specifies that religious entities may celebrate their religious rites and practices of a collective nature, in accordance with the protocols duly agreed by the National Health Authority and with the national state of emergency measures.
Concerning beaches, the decree specifies that —during the first stage— the beaches in Lima and Callao region cannot be used, except for non-contact water sports, such as surfing, rowing, and sailing, among others.
In this sense, from Mondays to Thursdays —days on which entry to areas adjacent to the sea is authorized— citizens must maintain physical distance, use face masks, and comply with other biosafety measures.
It should be noted that social gatherings are still prohibited, in order to avoid the increase in COVID-19 infections.
In the same way, parades, saint festivities, civil activities, or any other activity involving the agglomeration of people remain suspended.
