Chile Congress votes to reduce working hours from 45 to 40

In Chile, the parliament has passed a bill to gradually cut the work week from 45 hours to 40 with the same pay. That's a small victory for leftist President Gabriel Boric who's vowed to reshape the country's free-market economy. Some large companies have already embraced the reform but some small businesses and opposition lawmakers have criticised the law saying there aren't enough means to compensate the loss in production.
